BIOGRAPHY
Cheryl recently graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music with a first class honours classification, BA (Hons) Music Industry Practice specialising in drums. For the last year Cheryl has been playing with Shallow Honey, and Eddie Roxy & The Adjacent Kings. She worked as a session drummer for Bugeye, as well as working professionally in a variety of function bands.
Shallow Honey is an alt rock / dirty pop four piece from the UK’s south coast. They have performed live lounge sessions on BBC Introducing and Slack City Radio. Live performances include supporting The Subways on a date on their UK tour, headlining The Hope and Ruin (Brighton), and playing iconic venues such as ‘The Amersham Arms’ (London), ‘The Fighting Cocks’ (Kingston), ‘The Hope and Anchor’ (London) and many more. Cheryl recorded her first single with them in December, and features in the music video (see Live Links). Upcoming performances include ‘Does My Festival Look Big in This?’ (The Pipeline, Brighton), and ‘Loud Women Fest’ (Rich Mix, London).
Eddie Roxy & The Adjacent Kings is fronted by Eddie Roxy, former front man of Department S - known for their hit 'Is Vic There?' The band has performed various dates supporting The Members on their recent UK tour, including The 100 Club (London), The Acoustic Couch (Bracknell), and The Holroyd (Guildford), amongst others. They have plans to record in the next year.
Bugeye is a sequin drenched all female four piece from Croydon, with dirty guitars and disco beats. Cheryl performed with Bugeye at the Isle of Wight in 2023, as well as Brockley Max, Croydon Pride, and Livestock Festival. She recently placed on BBC Introducing Surrey and Sussex, headlined the Prince Albert (Brighton), and played various other UK venues.
Cheryl specialises in rock and pop genres, with a particular emphasis on groove and dynamics. She has excellent sight reading ability, and experience playing a hybrid setup.
